If you haven’t been to Forsyth Park since they redid the playground, it’s worth swinging by — the wooden structures are genuinely well-done, with separate zones for little kids and older ones so nobody’s getting steamrolled. There are slides, tunnels, swings, and enough climbing to keep things interesting for a solid hour or two. The whole play area is enclosed, which parents around here really appreciate, and there’s shaded seating, picnic tables, and actual clean restrooms on site. What puts it over the top though is the little zoo right next door — peacocks just wandering around, goats you can visit — it’s a weird and genuinely fun bonus that kids lose their minds over. Parking is easy, the walking path and open field give everyone room to spread out, and honestly it’s one of the better family spots in Kingston.
