Menands doesn’t have a ton of recreational spots, so this one gets used — and it holds up. The basketball court draws a steady crowd, and the open grass field is genuinely spacious enough for pickup games, letting kids run, or just throwing a blanket down. Benches are actually placed where you’d want them, which sounds like a low bar but isn’t always the case. It stays clean, people are generally decent here, and it works for all ages without feeling like it’s designed for just one group.
