Gerard P. Dugan Playground

One of the better-kept parks on Staten Island, Dugan got a solid renovation and it shows — the equipment is in good shape and the place actually feels clean, which isn’t always a given. Little ones have their own section with swings and a climbing structure, while older kids gravitate toward the basketball court or just run loose on the open grass field. Summer weekends, the water feature is basically a requirement — kids are lined up for it from June through August. There’s plenty of bench seating if you’re just there to watch, plus restrooms and parking, so you’re not scrambling. A genuinely useful park for families with kids spread across different ages.
