Schmul Park

Schmul Park has one of the more thoughtfully designed playgrounds on Staten Island — the multi-level layout keeps kids actually moving instead of just standing in line for one slide. The climbing structure has enough going on that older kids stay interested while toddlers do their thing on the lower sections, and the soft padded surface makes the inevitable tumbles way less dramatic. Fencing around the whole area is a genuine relief if you’re watching multiple kids at once. Benches are well-placed so you’re not craning your neck, and there’s parking plus restrooms on site, which honestly matters more than people admit. The basketball court gives older kids somewhere to peel off when they outgrow the playground stuff.
