Wassaic Park

Most people drive right past this one, which honestly keeps it in good shape. It’s a small setup — swings, a climbing structure, open grass — but the vibe makes it worth the detour. The neighborhood is quiet enough that you can actually hear yourself think, and there’s water nearby that adds to that low-key, unhurried feel. Good for younger kids especially, maybe 2 through 8 or so, who don’t need a massive play complex to have a solid afternoon. Bring a blanket for the field and you’ve basically got yourself a relaxed half-day.
