The Belville Riverwalk Park

If you live anywhere near Belville, this spot along the river is genuinely one of the better-kept secrets in Brunswick County. The swings are great for the little ones, and the shade trees actually do their job on a hot afternoon — you can grab a picnic table and stay comfortable for hours. There’s a walking path that takes you close to the water, with views that back up to forest and a nearby pond, so it doesn’t feel like your average municipal park. Restrooms are on-site, parking is easy, and the open grass field gives kids under 8 plenty of room to just run. It draws a decent crowd for community events, but on a regular weekday it’s genuinely quiet out there.
