If you live in this part of Chapel Hill, you probably already know about this little gem — and if you don’t, fix that. The play structure is solid for the under-8 crowd, with slides and climbing to keep them busy, but the real draw is the creek access and those community hammocks strung up in the shade. Wood chip surfacing, big shade trees, picnic tables — someone actually thought this through. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot where parents end up staying way longer than planned while kids wade around in the water and forget slides exist.
