If you’re on base, this one’s worth knowing about — especially when it’s hot out and you need somewhere the kids can actually burn off energy. Kiddie Hawk is fully indoors and air-conditioned, which is a big deal in a North Carolina summer. There’s a separate toddler section so the little ones aren’t getting trampled by the bigger kids, and benches are set up so parents can actually sit and see everything without chasing anyone around. They’ve also got a party room, so a lot of families use it for birthday get-togethers. Free admission makes it a regular stop for military families stationed at Seymour Johnson.
