If you’re local to the Waynesville area, this spot by the lake is genuinely one of the better setups for families with young kids. The enclosure is a real selling point — you’re not constantly chasing toddlers toward the water — and the benches give parents an actual sightline to the whole play area. Kids get slides, swings, and a solid climbing structure to work through, which keeps the 2-12 crowd busy long enough to justify the drive. The walking path along the lake is worth doing before or after, especially on a clear day when the water looks good. Restrooms and parking on-site make it easy to stay a while.
