Locals know this riverside spot is one of the better-kept secrets in Leland — clean, quiet, and actually worth the trip. There are two separate play areas, which is a big deal when you’ve got a toddler and an older kid who want completely different things, with swings, slides, and a climbing structure keeping both age groups busy. The walking trail through the woods out to the Brunswick River pier is legitimately pretty, especially on a weekday morning when it’s not crowded. Shade trees and covered seating mean you can actually stay a while without everyone melting in the heat. Pack a lunch — the picnic tables get used for a reason.
