Yadkin River Park Playground

Down by the Yadkin River in Linwood, this park punches well above its weight for a smaller community spot. There are three separate play areas broken out by age, so toddlers aren’t getting bulldozed by the big kids, and the water feature keeps everyone cool when the Carolina heat kicks in. The trails wind through forested areas near a small pond with a deck — honestly one of the better little nature setups you’ll find attached to a playground around here. Restrooms are clean, parking is easy, and the shaded seating means parents can actually sit comfortably instead of melting on a bench in the sun. Worth the drive if you’re anywhere in Davidson County.
