Hagan-Stone Park

If you haven’t made the trip out to Pleasant Garden for this one, you’re missing out. Hagan-Stone is the kind of county park that actually delivers — solid slides, a water feature the kids will want to hit repeatedly, and enough shade trees that you’re not roasting on a bench while they do it. The walking path winds near the woods and there’s a pond close by, so it has that real outdoorsy feel without requiring a hiking permit. Picnic tables, clean restrooms, decent parking — the basics are handled, which honestly isn’t always a given. Families camp here too, so if you want to stretch a day trip into a full weekend, that’s on the table.
