If you’ve got kids of varying ages and abilities, this is honestly one of the better playgrounds in Raleigh to make a day of it. The zipline alone will keep older kids occupied while the littles dig around in the sandbox, and the whole setup is designed so kids who need accessible equipment aren’t stuck on the sidelines. Shade trees and covered seating mean you’re not melting in July, which — if you’ve spent a Raleigh summer at an exposed playground — you know matters more than people admit. There’s a pond nearby, a walking path, basketball, and a soccer field, so you can realistically spend a few hours here without anyone getting bored. The grounds are kept up well, and the rubber flooring underfoot makes it a little less stressful when the toddlers inevitably go face-first off something.
