Wilkes County Library Story Walk

Pages from a children’s book are posted along a route around the Ker Scott Dam playground, so kids are basically reading a story while they walk — which, honestly, is genius for anyone trying to get a toddler to cover some ground. They swap out the books regularly, so it stays fresh if you’re coming back week after week. Literacy tips and activity prompts are mixed in along the way, making it feel more like an adventure than a reading lesson.
