If you live anywhere near Wilson, Deans Farm Market is the kind of place you end up at multiple times a season without really meaning to. The kids have a slide and a maze to burn through while you actually get a chance to sit at a picnic table and breathe for a minute. It backs up close to some woods, so the whole vibe is quieter than you’d expect — not a chaotic scene at all. Strawberry season and the fall pumpkin patch are the big draws, but honestly the fresh local produce alone makes the trip worth it. Easy parking, good for anyone from toddlers on up through the older kids who still won’t admit they love a good corn maze.
