Weiss Field

If you live in Avon Lake and have kids, you already know Weiss Field — it’s one of those spots where you can actually spend a few hours without losing your mind. The playground covers the basics well with swings and a solid climbing structure, and the layout makes it easy to keep an eye on little ones without chasing them around. Baseball is kind of the heart of this place, with diamonds that see a lot of action, but there’s also a basketball court, open grass, and a walking path that edges near the tree line if you want to stretch your legs. Picnic tables, clean restrooms, and parking that doesn’t make you want to give up and go home — it’s all there. Dogs are welcome too, which honestly just makes the whole vibe better.
