Locals out this way have been pretty vocal about how much they like what Berkshire Township did with this one. The artificial turf is genuinely a game-changer — no muddy shoes, no patchy grass, just a clean and consistent surface that holds up well. It’s got that newer design feel where you can tell someone actually thought about what kids of different ages would want out of a playground. The shaded seating means parents and grandparents aren’t stuck squinting in the sun while the kids run around, which goes a long way on a hot Ohio afternoon. If you’re anywhere near Galena, it’s worth the detour.
