If you live in Del City and haven’t made it to Ray Trent Park yet, you’re missing out on one of the better low-key spots in the area. The climbing structure keeps the kids busy while the water feature gives them something to lose their minds over on a hot Oklahoma afternoon. Shade trees are actually substantial here — not the sad little saplings you see at newer parks — so you can sit at a picnic table and not feel like you’re baking. It backs up near some trails and feels tucked away from traffic, which makes the whole thing more relaxed than you’d expect. Dogs are welcome, the grass field is genuinely open, and the restrooms are there when you need them.
