Playground Old Cavalry Post

Out on the old cavalry post side of Lawton, this little neighborhood playground punches above its weight. The shade trees actually do their job, which — if you’ve spent a summer afternoon in southwest Oklahoma — you know is not something to take for granted. Parking is right there, so you’re not hauling gear and kids halfway across the block. The equipment mix keeps the 2-to-12 crowd busy without anyone standing around waiting for a turn. It’s the kind of spot locals stumble onto and end up coming back to on the regular.
