Compass Park

If you live on the west side of Bend, you probably already know about this one. The climbing structure is solid for kids in the 5-12 range — nothing babyish, actually gives them something to work at. Shade trees do real work here on hot summer days, and there are enough benches scattered around that parents can actually sit down and relax. The open grass field is generous, and the walking path connects nicely to the trail system heading toward the forest if you want to stretch the trip into something longer. Clean bathrooms, easy parking — it’s just a well-kept neighborhood park that does everything right without making a big deal about it.
