There’s a climbing structure that keeps the younger kids (2-12 range) busy, plus plenty of shade trees and shaded seating so you’re not just standing around in the sun. The open grass field and proximity to water give it a relaxed, unhurried feel that bigger parks just don’t have. Pack a lunch because the picnic tables actually get used here, and if the wind is right, you’ll catch that smell drifting over from the nearby bakery — which sounds like a small thing until it happens to you. Parking is easy, the neighborhood is quiet, and honestly it’s the kind of place you’d want to keep to yourself.
