Bayshore Recreation Area

Small but solid, this little neighborhood spot in Waldport gets the job done for the younger kids — swings and a seesaw, nothing fancy, but that’s kind of the point. The 2–8 crowd is clearly who this place was built for, and on a quiet afternoon it’s a genuinely relaxed place to let them run around without chasing them into traffic. Grab one of the picnic tables and actually sit for a minute while the kids play. There’s a basketball court on-site too, so if you’ve got an older sibling in tow, they’re not just standing around waiting to leave.
