If you’re from around Mahaffey, you already know this place fills up fast on summer weekends — and for good reason. The open grass field gives kids plenty of room to run while parents claim a picnic table and actually relax for once. That pond nearby is a real draw, especially if you’ve got a kid who’s just getting into fishing. Come evening, the campfire setup makes it feel less like a day trip and more like a proper family outing. Good for little ones up through the grade school crowd.
