Yough Dam Outflow Playground

If you’re already out at Yough Dam for the fishing, this little playground makes it easy to bring the kids along without anyone getting bored. It’s small — don’t expect a sprawling setup — but everything is clean and well-kept, which honestly isn’t always a given at spots this far off the beaten path. The shredded tire mulch underfoot is a nice touch, and there are actual restrooms on site. The setting does a lot of the heavy lifting here: you’ve got forest, the dam outflow right across the way, and some of the best trout water in western Pennsylvania practically at your feet. Good stop for families who want to stretch their legs somewhere that doesn’t feel like a parking lot.
