Happy Hollow Playground

If you live in Wyomissing and haven’t figured out Happy Hollow yet, you’re missing out on one of the better kept secrets in the area. The playground itself has slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a sandbox — enough to keep kids of pretty much any age occupied — and the whole thing is genuinely well-maintained, which you can’t say about every local park. Parents can actually see their kids from the benches and shaded seating, and the shade trees make summer visits way more bearable. Beyond the play area, there’s a basketball court, soccer field, bike track, and open grass, so older kids and adults aren’t just standing around waiting. Throw in picnic tables and restrooms, and this place works just as well for a low-key family afternoon as it does for a neighborhood get-together.
