That massive 200-year-old oak tree doing most of the heavy lifting here — it keeps the whole playground shaded even on the kind of August days that make you question your life choices in Myrtle Beach. The climbing structure wraps right around it, which gives the whole setup a look you won’t find at your standard cookie-cutter park. Single entry and exit point means you’re not constantly spinning around trying to track your kid, and the benches actually sit in decent shade rather than baking in full sun. It’s fully fenced, well-kept, and sits right near the water at Barefoot Landing, so there’s a nice view while you wait out the “five more minutes” negotiations. Good for kids roughly 2 through 12, and honestly one of the better spots in the area to not completely dread taking your children to.
