Right on Lake Oahe, this spot is more fishing camp than traditional playground destination, so don’t show up expecting a jungle gym setup. The real draw for families is the water itself — kids who are into fishing will be completely occupied here. Cabins are clean, the staff actually know the lake, and the general store has what you need when you forget something. If your crew is the outdoorsy, rod-and-reel type, it works well as a base for a few days out near Gettysburg.
