The shade trees actually do their job here — it stays cooler than you’d expect even on a hot Tennessee afternoon, and the seating is set up so you can keep an eye on the kids without standing in the sun. There’s a good spread of equipment that works for different ages, and enough space between everything that it never feels cramped. Pack a lunch because the picnic tables and shelters make it easy to settle in for a few hours, and if the adults need to stretch their legs, the Greenway access is right there.
