Northwest Middle School Playground

Honestly, this spot is more about the grounds than the playground itself — the one-mile paved loop is the real draw, and it’s a solid walk with the forest nearby giving it a quieter feel than you’d expect from a school property. The soccer fields get good use, and there’s plenty of parking without the usual headache. The playground is on the smaller side, so if you’ve got older kids expecting something elaborate, temper expectations — but for toddlers and younger ones, the slides and open grass do the job just fine. Benches are scattered around, though shade is limited, so summer visits are better in the morning. It’s a low-key, clean little spot that the locals seem to keep to themselves.
