If you’re looking for a low-key spot that doesn’t get overrun on weekends, this little playground in a quiet Corpus Christi neighborhood is worth knowing about. The shade trees actually do their job here, which matters a lot when you’re talking about South Texas heat. Kids 2 to 12 have the swings to keep them busy, and there’s a basketball court for older ones who need more room to run. The covered seating means you’re not melting while you wait, and the walking path gives you something to do besides just sit there. It’s clean, it’s calm, and it feels like it’s been taken care of — not every neighborhood park can say that.
