Victoria County Southbound Safety Rest Area Playground

If you’re hauling down Highway 59 through Inez with little ones who’ve hit their limit, this rest area pull-off is genuinely worth the stop. The playground is sized right for the 2-to-8 crowd — nothing fancy, but that’s not the point. What actually matters here is that the restrooms are clean and the whole area looks like someone takes care of it, which you can’t say about every roadside stop in South Texas. Good enough to stretch legs, burn off some backseat energy, and get back on the road without any complaints.
