Live Oak Park Playground

One of the better-kept playgrounds in the area — this one actually feels new, and they’re clearly maintaining it that way. There are two separate play structures, so the little ones aren’t getting run over by bigger kids, which makes a real difference when you’ve got mixed ages in tow. The fencing situation is solid, with limited openings, so you’re not constantly chasing a toddler toward the parking lot. Beyond the playground itself, you’ve got a soccer field, open grass, and a walking path that edges near some trails and a pond — easy to make a full afternoon out of it. Clean restrooms, picnic tables, and a water fountain round it out, which honestly puts it ahead of half the parks in this part of Texas.
