If you’ve got little ones under six and need somewhere to burn off energy without dealing with the McAllen heat, this spot inside La Plaza Mall gets the job done. It’s enclosed, the staff actually pays attention, and the place is kept noticeably clean — which, if you’ve been to other mall play areas, you know isn’t always a given. Parents sit in the booths around the perimeter and can see everything, so it’s one of those rare spots where you can actually breathe for a minute. Great for toddlers especially, and the mall location means you can grab food or run errands without packing everything up and driving somewhere else.
