Playground and Shade Shelter

If you live on the north side of Plano, you probably already know about this spot — and if you don’t, fix that. The climbing structure keeps kids busy while parents actually get to sit in real shade, not just squint into the sun hoping for a cloud. There’s a water feature that’s basically mandatory on Texas summer afternoons, and the bike track means older kids have something to do beyond hovering around the playground. Picnic tables, restrooms, parking that doesn’t require a hike to reach — it’s all here. The trails running near the tree line give it a genuine outdoorsy feel that’s hard to find this close to everything else in Plano.
