Right next to Abilene State Park, this spot has that rare combo of actual trees and usable trail access that most Taylor County playgrounds just don’t have. The natural setting does a lot of the heavy lifting — kids end up exploring the edges of the forest as much as the equipment itself. It’s also built with accessibility in mind, which isn’t something you can say about every playground out here. Worth the drive if you’re already heading toward the park.
