Salem doesn’t have a ton of parks, so Cole Park really pulls its weight. The farm-themed playground is newer and well-kept — you’ve got slides, climbing structures, a zipline, and a splash pad that the kids will absolutely demolish you over in summer. Shaded seating means parents can actually sit comfortably instead of melting, and the restrooms and picnic tables make it easy to stay for a few hours. There’s a soccer field and open grass too, so older kids don’t get bored once they’ve exhausted the play equipment.
