Ensign Downs Park Playground

Salt Lake locals know this one’s worth the drive up — you’re literally above the inversion layer on bad air days, which feels like a small miracle in January. The open grass field is solid for frisbee, and there’s enough room that you’re not dodging other people every five seconds. Pack a lunch because the picnic tables get good afternoon shade, and the mountain views from up here genuinely stop you mid-bite. The walking path is an easy loop, nothing strenuous, great for after-lunch laps with the kids.
