One of the better spots in Henrico for a full-day outing — the playground itself covers the basics well, with swings, a solid climbing structure, and a merry-go-round that the kids won’t want to leave alone. There’s a decent split between areas for littles and older kids, which makes it easier when you’ve got a range of ages to wrangle. Pack a lunch, because the shaded picnic tables near the trees actually deliver on the shade, even in summer. The walking and bike track loop near the pond is a legit reason to stick around after the playground rush, and the trail access toward the wooded area gives it a feel that’s more than just a standard neighborhood park. Restrooms on-site, which — if you’ve got a five-year-old — you already know is non-negotiable.
