Lam Cove

If you know Smith Mountain Lake, you know there’s no shortage of pretty spots along the water — but Lam Cove has a quieter, more tucked-away feel than a lot of them. It’s less about structured play and more about letting kids roam the shoreline, skip rocks, and just be outside for a while. The kind of place locals bring their families on a slow Saturday when they want water access without the crowds. Union Hall doesn’t get as much traffic as some of the lake towns, which honestly makes it better.
