Salem Park is one of those low-key neighborhood spots that locals genuinely appreciate — nothing flashy, but it delivers. The open grass field gives kids room to actually run around, and the shade trees make it bearable even on a hot Virginia Beach afternoon. There’s a pond nearby that adds a nice backdrop, and little ones between 2 and 10 tend to stay pretty entertained here. Parking is easy, which honestly makes a bigger difference than people admit.
