Playground York River State Park

If you’re already out at York River State Park for a hike, the playground makes for a solid stop to let the kids burn off some energy before or after hitting the trails. It’s nothing fancy, but that’s kind of the point — the real draw here is the setting, with trees all around and that whole state park atmosphere doing the heavy lifting. Worth knowing ahead of time that it’s not wheelchair accessible, so plan accordingly. Pair it with a nature walk and you’ve got a pretty easy half-day with the family.
