Saint Edward State Park Playground

If you haven’t taken your kids to this one yet, you’re missing out. The wooden castle structure is genuinely massive — we’re talking multiple levels, slides, climbing walls, and even musical equipment built right in, plus a maze that keeps older kids occupied for way longer than you’d expect. There’s a separate fenced area for the little ones, which is a lifesaver when you’ve got a toddler and a seven-year-old with very different ideas about where they want to be. The whole thing sits right at the edge of the forest with Lake Washington not far off, so after the playground wears them out you can hop onto the trails or head down toward the water. Parking is easy, sightlines are good, and honestly it’s one of the better-designed parks on the Eastside for families with a wide age range.
