The climbing structure keeps the little ones busy while older kids migrate toward the basketball court or soccer field — and you’re not chasing anyone into traffic because the layout makes it easy to keep eyes on everyone. Pack a lunch, grab one of the picnic tables near the BBQ area, and you’re set for most of the day without spending a dime. The shade trees and covered seating make summer visits actually tolerable, and parking here is genuinely not a problem, which — if you’ve fought for a spot at other Olympia parks — you know is worth mentioning. The walking and bike paths loop things together nicely if you need to burn off energy before the drive home.
