If you haven’t taken your kids to Discovery Playground yet, you’re genuinely missing out — this place gets it right in ways most parks don’t. The splash pad is the obvious draw on hot Spokane Valley summers, but stick around and you’ll find musical equipment, a merry-go-round, sandbox, climbing structures, and slides that keep different ages busy without anyone fighting over the same thing. It’s genuinely built for all abilities, which you don’t see often enough around here. Shade trees and covered seating mean the adults aren’t baking while the kids do their thing, and the walking path gives you somewhere to decompress. Pack a lunch — the picnic tables and restrooms make it easy to stay half the day.
