Lidford Playfield

Lidford Playfield is one of those low-key neighborhood spots that doesn’t get enough credit — a big open grass field where kids can actually run without hitting a fence every ten seconds. There’s a climbing structure for the younger crowd, and the walking path that was recently added makes laps feel a lot more intentional than just circling the parking lot. The city has been putting real work into accessibility here, including ADA parking upgrades, which honestly makes a difference. Dogs show up regularly even though it’s not an official dog park, so expect some four-legged company on weekends. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s heading in the right direction.
