If you’re already out this way visiting the Mt. St. Helens Forest Learning Center, this little spot is worth knowing about. It’s a simple setup — don’t come expecting a ton of equipment — but the forest surroundings do a lot of the heavy lifting. Kids who’ve just spent time learning about the eruption tend to want to burn off some energy anyway, and there’s plenty of open space to do that. Honestly, the trees and the mountain backdrop are the real draw here.
