Right in the heart of Winthrop, this low-key park punches above its weight for families with little kids. The river views are genuinely worth stopping for, and there’s enough shade from the big trees that you won’t be roasting at the picnic tables even in August. Toddlers and kids up to about eight have room to run on the open grass without parents chasing them into traffic or crowds. RV parking is a real bonus if you’re passing through the Methow Valley and need a proper lunch stop with restrooms that actually exist. It’s the kind of spot locals know about but rarely advertise — quiet, spacious, and close enough to the trails that you can make a whole afternoon of it.
