Two Forks Beach

If you ask anyone in Augusta where to take the kids on a hot day, they’ll send you here without hesitation. The beach itself is the main draw — clean sand, calm water that actually warms up enough to swim in, and enough room that it doesn’t feel crowded even on a busy weekend. School-age kids do really well here since the swimming is manageable and there’s a playground to rotate through when they need a break from the water. Parking is easy, and the pit toilets mean you’re not cutting the day short. Locals keep it clean and it shows.
