Atwater Park Playground

Right on the Lake Michigan blufftop in Shorewood, this playground punches above its weight with a legit modern sculpture that makes it feel less like a typical park stop and more like a small outdoor gallery. Wheelchair accessible throughout, so nobody gets left out. The park setting does a lot of the heavy lifting — you’re basically playing with one of the best views in the Milwaukee metro as your backdrop. Locals know it, but it doesn’t always get the credit it deserves.
