Washington Park

Locals know this is one of the better spots in Rawlins to actually slow down for a bit — the shade trees are mature enough to make a real difference on a hot Wyoming afternoon. Bring a picnic, claim one of the tables, and you’re set. The open grass field gives kids plenty of room to run while adults can actually relax without chasing anyone into traffic. It draws a decent crowd for community gatherings, and if you’re patient, the wildlife sightings around the quieter edges of the park are a nice bonus. Clean restrooms and easy parking make it more practical than most green spaces in town.
